the following passage and answer the questions that follow.
Jammu and Kashmir lies
in the lap of the Himalaya mountains. The Mughal emperor, Jhangir, called it a
“Heaven on Earth”. The capital of Jammu and Kashmir is Srinagar in summer and
Jammu in winter.
The Wular and Dal Lakes
are the famous lakes of Kashmir. If you go to these Lakes you will see houseboats
floating on them. Houseboats are houses on boats. You will also see shikaras,
or shops on boats, selling things like flowers and vegetables.
The climate of Kashmir
is very cold. Kashmiris keep themselves warm with kangri, a small pot with
burning coal in it. They keep this under their clothes. They also drink special
type of tea called Kahwa.
